Caroline is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 15 years of experience helping adults rebuild communication, cognition, and confidence after neurological injury and illness.
She specializes in working with individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurogenic disorders across outpatient, residential, and community settings.
Her approach combines evidence-based therapy with meaningful, real-world goals to support participation in everyday life. Caroline is passionate about helping clients strengthen communication, problem-solving, swallowing, and independence while also supporting families and caregivers throughout the recovery journey.
She has advanced training in programs including LSVT LOUD®, SPEAK OUT!®, AAC systems, and cognitive-communication rehabilitation, and she is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). Caroline also teaches graduate students in speech-language pathology and is actively involved in brain injury advocacy and community support initiatives in the Augusta area.
Outside of work, Caroline enjoys spending time with her husband, Parker, their two daughters, Lucy and Norah, and their dog, Bob. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to see live music, and meeting friends for happy hour.
What started as a shared passion for neurologic rehabilitation evolved into a shared mission:
to create a space where clients feel supported, empowered, and capable of meaningful comeback stories through individualized, evidence-based care
Meet Our Specialists
Caroline Shore, PT, DPT, NCS
Physical Therapist & Co-Owner
Specialties: Improving motor function, reducing pain, fall risk reduction, adaptive equipment and technology (Bioness Clinician Certification, FES, referrals for Vivistim, Motus Nova), vestibular rehab
Caroline is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Board Certification in Neurologic PT and 9 years of clinical experience working with adults and children across the continuum of care (including neurorehab services in inpatient, residential, day program, and outpatient settings). Her diverse background has resulted in a broad and versatile clinical perspective, including confidence working with individuals at all degrees of medical acuity, age, and abilities.
Through these experiences, Caroline recognized a major gap in neurological care: too many people stop making progress or get lost to follow-up because of insurance limitations, drawn out waitlists, or traditional therapy clinics lacking intensity and consistency. She noticed too many leave the healthcare system before their comeback is finished.
That realization and her passion for neurorehab led her to co-found NCC. Caroline takes pride in helping individuals across the lifespan regain function and exceed expectations after neurologic injury or diagnosis. She helps clients achieve meaningful goals, build confidence, and maximize independence by combining evidence based strategies, principles of neuroplasticity, and individually tailored interventions. She strongly believes therapy should be fun, bringing a positive and lighthearted energy to her sessions.
Caroline is an active mom to two little ones, Mackenna and Carson. On days off, you'll most likely find her outside with her kids and puppy Daisy alongside her husband, Erik, soaking up the moments that remind her why this work matters.
